Lessons learned from the external quality assessments 2019-2020

IIA Netherlands has again made an analysis of the external quality assessments performed, this time for 2019 and 2020. In addition to the report, the results can also be seen this year in a PowerBI. With possible selections per Standard, at main and detailed level, and by size of the IAF, it is possible to see even better which points of interest may be of value to the reader.

The report provides guidelines to IAFs for the next step in their quality improvement. In addition, this report is a tool for IAFs in preparing for an external quality assessment.

Audit Management Systems - Exploration within Internal Audit in the Netherlands, trends and practical tips

Digitization is playing an increasingly important role in our (work) lives. Look inside any company and you will see that there are always projects to further digitize. Every company has to move with the times or else it will be overtaken by reality. The same also applies to an Internal Audit Function (IAF).

There was a need from IAFs and CAEs to gain insight into the market for Audit Management Systems (AMS) in the Netherlands and best practices with regard to selection and implementation. This report helps to form a view of the AMS market in the Netherlands and offers tips and learning points for selection and implementation.

Internal Auditor Magazine December: Envisioning the next 80 years

This month, The IIA celebrates its 80th anniversary as the internal audit profession’s principal advocate, educator, and provider of standards, guidance, and certifications. It’s probably safe to assume that those who gathered in December 1941 to create a professional association for internal auditors could not have imagined the complexity of today’s risks: those associated with cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cryptocurrency, ESG, and so much more.

IIA Netherlands does not continue its membership to the Internal Auditors

Due to an unexpected, large increase in costs, the IIA board has decided to stop the 'partial membership' of the Internal Auditor Magazine. It is possible to take out an individual subscription.

Blog: Richard Chambers - The IIA at 80: A Legacy of Leadership, Collaboration, and Advocacy

Two events occurred 80 years ago this week that are still remembered decades later. The Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor plunged the United States into the middle of a raging world war that had already engulfed much of the planet. Two days later, on Dec. 9, the 11 founders of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) held their long planned inaugural annual meeting in New York City.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Celebrates Its 80th Anniversary

The Institute of Internal Auditors announced its 80th anniversary as the internal audit profession’s most widely recognized advocate, educator, and provider of standards, guidance, and certifications. Since 1941, The IIA has committed to “Progress through Sharing” and advocated for internal audit as essential for effective governance. Today, The IIA is truly a global force, 210,000+ members strong, representing 125 countries and territories.
